The Librarian of Congress Dr. James Billington recently announced that he has selected the Honorable Suzanne M. Barnett as the new Chief Copyright Royalty Judge and head of the Copyright Royalty Board.  Barnett has served as a superior court judge of King County, Seattle, Washington since 1996.  Prior to her election to the bench, Judge Barnett was in private practice at Lane Powell (Seattle), as well as Weil, Gotshal & Manges (Houston) and co-founded the firm Barnett MacLean (Seattle).   She joins William Roberts and Stanley Wisniewski on the Copyright Royalty Board, where she will serve a six-year term.
