In Case You Missed It: Fueling the Fire of Genius, IP Delivers

This morning, the Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) held the official launch of their new program, IP Delivers. As part of the program, the Center hosted a panel discussion with keynote speaker James Pooley (Deputy Director General for Innovation and Technology, World Intellectual Property Organization), as well as Copyright Alliance Academic Advisory Board member Adam Mossoff (George Mason University), Alden Zecha (CFO and Strategist of Sproxil, Inc.), and Dr. Raul Cuero (Inventor and Founder of International Park of Creativity). The conversation focused on the many ways that trademarks, patents and copyrights are converting ideas and inventions into innovations that improve our lives. From Sproxil’s mobile product authentication – ensuring consumers can easily and instantly determine if their pharmaceuticals are counterfeit or authentic – to the exciting work being done by the students at the International Park of Creativity, IP is, in the words of Mossoff, is an engine of access, ensuring that the best ideas and inventions are able to navigate the path to the marketplac.
