Starting today, you can follow the Copyright Alliance on its 35-state road trip by watching artist interviews and reading blog entries, as we showcase artists and creators at work in copyright-dependent jobs across America.
As you’ll see in this video, Wendy Bradshaw was literally given a second chance at life, and is not holding back. She is working on a new album of healing music inspired in part by her Nez Perce ancestry, is the top jazz vocalist in Salt Lake City on Reverb Nation and has launched a line of empowering children’s books that also have multimedia versions featuring her own music.
Wendy was kind enough to invite me into her home, where I also met one of her grown daughters and several grandchildren. You’ll see the daughter in the video, wearing a large mouse suit, and some of those grandkids. You have to watch the video to know what’s up with a nearly six-foot-tall mouse.
It was inspiring to spend time with Wendy, and it’s hard not to admire all the projects she has going and the motivation – healing and empowerment – behind them.
