NPF Webinar on AI and Copyright Law for Journalists (Sponsored by Copyright Alliance)

The National Press Foundation (NPF) will host a webinar on January 22 at 12 p.m. ET, titled AI, Intellectual Property, and the Emerging Legal Landscape, examining the rapidly evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and U.S. copyright law. The briefing, which is sponsored by the Copyright Alliance and Next Solutions Group (NSG), is geared primarily toward journalists and will address the surge in federal litigation against AI companies, key legal questions around fair use, licensing, and liability, and the broader implications for journalism, publishing, software, and the creative economy. Speakers include Terry Hart (Association of American Publishers/AAP), Professor Justin Hughes (Loyola Law School), and Wayne Brough (R Street Institute).
